They key itself is cheap, it has to be married to the car in software using a Volvo application with a live connection to the Volvo server.
I'll be trying this very soon.

I took some photos of my 2001 V70 T5 engine in the same area and added some labels. It appears you are missing the Turbo Control Valve at least. The Turbo Control Valve has two wires going to it. One is green and the other is gray(?). They may have another color stripe.
The throttle body (Electronic Throttle Module - ETM) is to the left of the air tube from cooler in the last photo. It is directly under the center of the intake manifold and double fist sized.
