hello all,
just cracked my volvo s40 2005 t5 p1 in over 2400 sec. it works nice and fine. however howcome its that slow ? i saw people talking about 15 min cracking the pincode... am i doing something wrong ?

Software updates can be done with a VIDA subscription from Volvo using a compatible DICE unit. Pirate VIDA can not update or load software. There is a lot of noise on the forums about clone DICE units no longer working with a VIDA subscription, but that appears to be a problem for some clones with some chipsets. There are many posts on other forums where users are successfully using clone DICE units connected to Volvo-VIDA.
The discussions around the forums cite the warning on the Volvo Bookstore site about not allowing clones, and Volvo cites the Service Manager Bulletin dated back in 2010
Here's a thread where a user tried to update the whole CEM package and ran into difficulty because the battery died. He was using a non-DICE interface that worked as long as there was battery power.

I'm sorry I came across as complaining. I'm just really glad it works so nicely. I was just wondering if maybe I was wrong about a setting, why it was slow. because I saw people talking about 15 min cracking time. I thought I'd done something wrong.

SAMPLES directly affect the time it takes for the algo to crack the pin. Numerous P1 people reported successful cracks with SAMPLES as low as in single digit (maybe even 1 or 2, I forgot). 15 minutes is SAMPLES=30. I cracked a CEM-L on SAMPLES=2 but it was not reliable.
