I just picked up a 01 V70 T5, I have noticed a intermintent hissing noise from the brake pedal. it only does it after you release the pedal and hisses until the pedal returns to the up position. this does not happen all the time only sometimes. also it seems the pedal is slow to return to the up position, it might hiss for several seconds to a few minutes, if you pull the pedal up with your foot it stops or won't hiss at all. I have searched the forum and found this could be a bad booster, but seems like a bad booster hisses when you press the pedal?
any ideas or thoughts?

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to MVS. What you describe certainly sounds like a bad booster. It is under a vacuum so any leak in the booster or booster vacuum line could do this. Best bet is to get it checked sooner than later. It could also be low on brake fluid so check that out. Either way, problem with brakes really can't wait.
