I'm very surprised that didn't damage the wheel at that speed. Didn't the rim hit the pavement at some point?

Honestly, it doesn't look much like it did. At least not for any length of time. There aren't any ground flat spots around the lips at all.

Still we're not going to reuse it. We have a spare wheel, and XC90's drop in our local junk yard all of the time, so I can grab more, if needed.

that is an awesome boat, what is it for? Looks far older then a standard one and almost like its from the far north.

On a side note, i saw a beautiful green s70 in the parking lot the other day. Took a peep through the drivers window and saw 63000 km on the odometer. I guess under 2800 km a year is doable in some places.

It's a Klepper kayak, from Germany. My dad bought it in 1961 or 62. The skin lasted 40 years until we replaced it in early 2000s.

Last weekend I did the oil change and filter. Also did timing belt and timing belt accessories...

Spark plugs and water pump

Starts right up, no hiccups, so I think the fuel filter is good. But the throttle is kinda weak. I have to ease it to start driving. Maybe some vacuum lines are bad.

Also looks like this car is equipped with that infamous SAS system? It's got that fan thing under the battery.
A lot of bulbs in the interior are out, and the floor vents might be stuck. Did a test drive of 50km something after the timing change. The pulls are addicting. Engine rattle worries me though. The lifters ticking maybe? Rear left suspension makes a loud bang at every speed bump, followed by what feels like an uneasy wave at sea. Something wrong ain't right back there. Muffler has a small leak. Lots of things to deal with.

Hey, that loud bang at every speed bump. I'd look at the top mount for the rear shock. Mine was doing the same thing and to my chagrin, I discovered that the mount had completely sheared. It was only a $40 part and less than an hours work to replace.

Oh really? Nice, sounds like an easy fix. I would hate for that to be the only thing preventing this to pass inspection. I will check it out. Thanks for the tip.

I just looked at FCP Euro and they have a replacement for $20!

I paid $40 with tax because I got it from a local parts store. I needed it quick (next day).

FCP Euro want an additional 26.11$ for shipping. In total 45.3$. When it arrives to Norway, the customs add another 25% of import tax + 10$ for calculating the tax. Things get ugly quickly, when importing stuff here.

Did roughly 800 km trip for work today, car handled like a dream and did it all on one tank of gas. Need to fix that inner control arm and get the new alignment one last time.

Replaced two vacuum hoses this time, but throttle response is still weak. Will die if clutch is released too quick.
Attempted to change the pollen filter. Ehm, no. Looks like this car has been breathing dirty air all it's life. No wonder the AC doesn't blow cold.

The battery also lost all it's charge yesterday. After running and moving a little, I was unable to start the car again. Bad alternator? Bad battery connections, terminals, etc. ? More and more problems show themselves.
