Trying the PETG. So far today in the Texas heat they are holding up well. My alternative would be ASA for UV resistance but PETG has good heat and uv resistance while being easy to work with and affordable.

Is the button issue on ECC's a big problem? I have never seen ay with major issues up here other than being filthy. I can go pull any ECC buttons when at PnP if anyone needs them if there are any. In fact, I think I even have a whole 850 ECC in the stash somewhere!

For the past few weeks my dashboard lights have not been working when the headlight switch is turned to the "on" position. So figuring out my speed at night has been super fun. Anyway I decided to tear apart the switch and clean it up. A little cleaning with light sanding and new dielectric grease has fixed the problem. Free fix if anyone needs it. Warning, the plastic housing will break when trying to free the tabs. Here are some pics of the before and after.

Well it looks like I spoke to soon. Dash lights are back to not working. Headlight work fine but nothing for the instrument cluster, ECC or radio. Looking for ideas.

Here's a tip for anyone who wants to take a run at swapping an S60R engine into an 850: At least one engine mount doesn't line up.

This is the front mount from the 850's B5234T. As you can see, not only is the bolt pattern wrong, but the bolts themselves won't fit the old mount. Luckily, there's a solution.

I took some measurements for a new mount, built it in Rhino and output the file to the resin printer.

And voila. This is a quick-and-dirty template for the actual 1/4" welded steel engine mount, fully compatible with the stock cushion mount.


And it fits nicely, too.
