A new rattle

Well, got the new Bilstein TC on the front with all the accoutrements and also replaced the back as well. What a difference. I didn't really notice much height difference on the front. Based on the drive this AM they don't seem overly stiff either. Bottom line MUCH smoother ride. Working with the folks at Shox was also pleasant. Full set with mounts and such only ran $572. Not bad at all.

Onto the next item. Still have the rattle so it must be something else in that general vicinity... Maybe the sway bar links?

If you changed all you did and still get rattles, especially in turns or low speeds, then it's most likely your end links. Also check that lower engine mount under the timing belt area if it's coming from that side. Mine was metal on metal.

P.S. Glad you had a good experience with Shox. That's where I bought my TC's as well! :o

Ive had a metalic rattle for a while on my 850se 2.5 1995 and have discovered today that its my rear pads rattling loosely against the brake discs!!!!!!!!!!!!Why ive not yet discovered but its the last thing I thought it would be bu tit definitely is.

Glad you figured out...forgotten spring clips...could have been serious if it was never noticed.
