Aftermarket A/C refrigerants--V70 2004

In my area, this is the first time available to the public, a kit called Red Tek 12a refrigerant. Two 6oz. bottles and a gauge for $50. From what the ad says, we are to dump the old stuff and fill up with 12a. Has anyone worked with or had experience tuning up their air conditioner in this manner:?:

I would be very cautious without further investigation. Many newer gases for our A/C system just don't work and have a tendency of clogging things up leading to a full/expensive over-haul.
