I'm gathering my supplies for a 'drain and fill' on my wife's 2013 S60. A friend gave me 5 qts of Mobil 3309. Is this the correct trans fluid to use? Is it fully compatible with whatever fluid remains in the gearbox? If so, then I guess I will have to pick up more. How much fluid usually exits on a typical drain?
I am also trying to get some washers for the drain plug. Seems that there are 'choices'. Metal, and then there is a thick O-ring offered. What do I need for a drain and fill?
What do I need for 'drain and fill'?

There is a nice video tutorial in this post and some additional helpful instructions:

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

Alan,
It is likely that you won't get quite this much out. But it will be close.
If you can't tell from the picture I was able to remove 3.8 Quarts

AISIN switched from the
T-IV type fluid (JWS 3309 (T-IV)
to the
WS type fluid JWS 3324 (WS)
And they did it around the time that you are asking about
Note: my research indicates that the fluids can be mixed but for me I prefer to stick with the original fluid.
For my Son's 2015 VW I used the WS fluid and for my other Son's 2010 Volvo I used the T-IV type
Parts to get
30713219 Auto Trans T40 Bolt
1233068 O-ring for T40 Bolt
30713220 Washer

Good Luck
Paul
PS Looking at IPD it looks like you need the WS not the T-IV
