Lugnut, I'll fix your legacy Covid thread posts. It might take a few days for me to find the right way to do it. (This is why I keep a "sandbox" MVS site around on a different server... to work on complex things like this without using live MVS as a guinea pig. Although I do guinea pig us here live on simpler things like this Ascending/Descending setting.)
Please adjust your routine for the change, if you'll allow me to be so bold as to ask this of you.
This ordering thing is a good change and I wish I'd noticed and switched years ago.

Interesting observation: When placing files inline, the earlier uploaded files get higher attachment ID numbers. It looks like they're reversing the order for some reason.
I uploaded an image and placed it inline. In the message body, it was identified as attachment=0. I added a second image and placed it inline. The second image was identified as attachment=0 and the first was changed to attachment=1. Repeat, adding two more images, and the first image was changed to attachment=3, showing the others in descending order.
Perhaps this doesn't matter. I just found it interesting.
