smoke from the engine compartment - transmission ?

Top is clean. The cap seal has been replaced at least once.

Awfully wasteful of time & messy leaks to have to depend on burping it.
I want a tall tube that threads onto the tank, so nothing actually leaks out.
Wonder what the thread size is.
