First off, thanks for the tips and comments folks.

Second off, I may have corrected this crankcase fume issue from something that, as far as I'm aware, would have been very difficult to ever suspect. Perhaps someone who has the knowledge can tell me if this logically correlates, or if my crankcase leakage seems to have magically corrected itself. I've been driving for about a week since I've done this fix, and every so often I swear I still get a faint whiff of fumes at a stoplight, but I think that's just PTSD because I don't see any fumes after popping the hood.

So I finally got around to replacing my exhaust cam seals... I popped off my frontward black dust cap (fortunately bought a new one, had to mangle it), and discovered this:

First off, this is obviously a huge contributor to my oil leak. After driving for about a week since then, if my oil level is moving, it's extremely minimal.

To dive into the logic of the previous owner; I presume he removed the cam seal in order to forego PCV replacement, while negating the possibility of blowing a main seal. I want to say, bless him for this! Yet at the same time, if he simply told me he did this it would have saved me a stupid amount of money I've poured into oil, not to mention stress of driving a dry engine. My bad for not doing cam seals sooner? Hrumph.

So this solves my oil leak for now, woo! But the anomaly to this, the reason I'm posting it in this thread of mine, is that my crankcase fumes seem to have dissipated! And again, they would start funneling out within 30 seconds of cranking the engine. The other day, I idled to operating temperature and there was not a single wisp. *knock knock*

I think it's finally time to dive back into my cylinder 3 misfire... suppose I'll save that for another thread.

Well , you have four cam seals, and Queen tells us 2/3 ain’t bad, so 3/4 is pretty close to perfect

Hahaha guys, 3/4 ain't too shabby yet that mother is responsible for 1-2 quarts of oil on my splash pan every 200 miles. Not to mention the stress- "I wonder if I should pull over and top it off... yup gonna do it!"
