You should be able to get the belt past this bolt, but if not remove the bolt temporarily to get the belt on. To hold the belt against the pulley for installing on top pulleys, use half a spring type clothes pin or similar to wedge against this replaced bolt and hold the belt in place.

I actually had this metal guard that had to come out.
Then I could wiggle the belt over the plastic covers on the firewall side of the engine.
This metal piece was on toward the front bumper .... What a female Dogg!
