Found it!
I have 3 rows of seats - I removed the entire 2nd row very easily - I didn’t have to touch the 3rd row. Carpet came right up easily.
The PEM was directly underneath the passenger side 2nd row seat.
The outward appearance of the PEM looks very good, which I know doesn’t necessarily mean anything. It has 180k+ on it at this point and given the issues I’ve been having I’m gonna try a used one to see if that fixes the problem as suggested here.
I will post the results.
Thank you.
What do you think - is it the fuel pump, PEM or FPS?

I pulled out the PEM - it’s a Ford part??
The part number 30769225 matches what I googled for Volvo but I have a hard time believing this is the factory installed PEM??
Am I missing something?
I have pretty meticulous service records and no mention of the PEM ever being replaced or relocated.
Any thoughts?
Thx

You can open it up and check for heat sink damage.

The PEMs over the years are essentially the same.
I posted the info in this thread...
https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forum ... hp?t=87748
PS: On ebay, look for PEMs with recent mfg date and low mileage.
About $45-$60...
Or visit a local junk yard and get a used PEM.
New is about $300 at Vovlo dealers...
PS: If this proves to be a bad PEM, once you have a new unit in, I'd get another good PEM, test it, then put in the trunk as spare. Never know you are stranded far away from home...

Well, everything has been fine with a lot of driving and kinda still is except today the CEL came on. Vida says it’s ECM-2900 - fuel pressure faulty signal.
There is no noticeable performance issues at all with the car - at least yet…
I did the quick fuel pump check in Vida and it seems OK? I attached the pic…
Thinking about replacing FPS? Thoughts?
Thank you.

So I spent the $70 and picked up a new Bosch FPS.
Previously, the CEL (ECM-2900 error) had been coming back on immediately after being cleared. After replacing the FPS and taking it for a spirited drive tonight, no CEL.
Planning on loading her up with family and going for a 1200 mile round trip over the next few weeks - so I guess we’ll see…

FYI...
The lifespan of the FPS is anywhere between 50K-200K miles.
The good thing is a bad FPS on ly causes minor hiccups and codes etc., it virtually never leaves you starnded and you have time to replace it.
Bosch is a good brand.
PS: the PEM, when going bad, can leave you starnded. This is why I always carry a spare PEM (either from ebay or junk yard and tested ahead of time) in the trunk.
