In my ongoing battle with the exceedingly rare form of cancer I'm fighting, I've been lucky enough to have been treated by the very surgeon who developed the procedure now in use around the world; follow up care is being handled locally by one of the finest Doctors I've ever known - and he's in the VA system, of all places. I just spent an hour and a half with him last week, just talking about the treatment options, and the nature of this particular beast.
Put your trust in the mainstream, journeyman veterans of the craft who have been focussed on the specific scientific approach to removing the growth, and the odds will be heavily stacked in your favor for a good outcome.
Knowing you have thousands of friends pulling for you can't hurt, either.
