v70 no start

Post by seh43 »

I am the new member who can't get his car started. I have tried everything I found on line, removing ECM fuse, holding outside door lock in unlock position, and turning key between position I and II 5 times then on 6th try, but it still won't start. This car started perfectly when I went to pick it up, no issues for at least 6 starts. It sat for a week while I did some clean up, then the issues started. it got progressively worse until now it just. won't start.

These Volvos like a well charged battery to start. Cranking speed is not a good indicator of good battery charge. Can you check the voltage at the battery? While checking the battery check the age and condition of the battery cable connections. A battery over 4 years old MAY have issues and the cable connections must be clean and tight.

Welcome. Let’s get your model and year straight before we troubleshoot. Include year model , mileage, use history please, and transmission type please

How many miles and what is the date code in the battery?

Does it crank, no start or not crank at all?
