ABS Module Question

Post by jbroox »

I recently purchased a 1998 S70 (67,000 miles). I've noticed that once in a while the ABS Traction light comes on. I've read that the module is know to go bad (gotta wonder why it has not been recalled). Anyway, I was wondering if I need to get this fixed right away, or can it wait a bit?

I've read the posting about repairing it myself. I'm a pretty ambitious DIYer, but I'd hate to go to all that trouble and discover that I didn't get it fixed.

It can wait...just be aware that when the light is on your ABS does not function. I had mine rebuilt (before we knew we could do it ourselves) and no problems in about 2 years since.
