Today, I dumped in a bottle of Gunk High Mileage fuel Injector Cleaner and filled the tank up with Premium in preparation for the cars maiden voyage to work tomorrow. 100 miles round trip.

Maybe the problem is that the pins are missing then?
They are shown on the left of the photo at this link:

I thought you meant the pins that the caliper would slide on. I do have the pins you're referring to. I just installed new ones. I guess the pads do slide on them to an extent, but their main function seems to be pad retention. I put anti-seize on the ends, but didn't put anything on the exposed middle.
Sorry for the confusion. I think they call them guide pins instead of slide pins. Cleaning up the caliper with a wire brush and painting it along with greasing those pins with brake/caliper grease cured my brake squeal.

I tried getting the loose stuff out, with a flat blade screw driver, a wire brush, and brake cleaner, but since they calipers were still mounted, I didn't have the much clearance. I'm planning on replacing the rotors (and pads again) this summer so I'll clean those calipers up better at that time.

While driving the car today, I didn't notice the squeal, but it was snowy too.

I checked the oil today. I'm not used to driving a vehicle that I don't have to constantly add oil to.

I've got an o-ring for the top of the dipstick coming from Ipd, because the original looks a bit flat, and o-rings are cheap.

haven't had to add any oil to mine yet, the dipstick is at a good level for mine but unbelievably still leaks a considerable amount of oil but miraculously is never in short supply. gotta love P80s.

My P80 cars/engines are amazing, I simply do not need to add any oil between changes. The level drops a little in the ~5k mile OCI but not below the line - not even for the 300k V70!

My P2 cars are different story, one uses a quart about every 2k miles, the other about every 3k.

All get the same oil, 5W-40 Rotella T6.

That's great!

5W-40 T6 is what I bought. I have yet to change the oil, Though. I ran out of time before going back to work, and was most concerned with the thermostat and timing belt. I'm hoping to do it, next Sunday.

Today will be oil/ATF change day, finally. The "as purchased" oil didn't look too bad, and I decided that things like the thermostat and timing belt were more important to get done before my time got more limited.

I've got Rotella T6 5w40, a Mahle filter, and a new plug/washer for the oil pan. I assume the transmission plug will be okay since that's likely never been removed.

The recent snow has shown me that I really need new tires. I've got some snow tires in my Discount Tire cart, and will likely order them this weekend. I really wish I had some crappy spare tires, as I'd just swap the tires off my Saturn, as they're the exact same tire I want for the Volvo. If I were out in the country, I'd set the Saturn down on pieces of firewood :D

Yes, most definitely. Maybe they put the R&D money into the heavily baffled valve cover. and oil fill cap, because that functions very well, and it always needs to be opened.
