steering wheel canted

So when I am driving straight ahead, my steering wheel is slightly canted to the left. If I were to level out the steering wheel, my wheels would be slightly turned to the right. On other, non-volvo vehicles, I think I've been able to loosen the tie rod adjustment nut, turn the tie rods in/out a minor amount, and make the correction to the steering wheel being off. Is that how to do it on these Volvo P2's?

That would work providing all of you suspension and steering parts are serviceable and not worn out of tolerances. Also things can go out of adjustment or wear out in the back, affecting the alignment. I had a similar situation as yours that turned out to be the Strut spring seats, particularly the left one which had separated.
First inspect all your front end components for wear and play or have a shop do it. Then get a reputable shop to perform a four wheel alignment.

Agree with giving everything on the front end a look. If you are going to do an alignment good time to inspect/replace lower control arms, sway bar links and struts.
