Re: 2007 Volvo XC90 V8 P0174
I've been going through the engine bay and found a ripped hose going to one of the nipples on the vacuum tank on passenger side near firewall and under strut tower brace. I'm getting ready to remove the STB and cut hose for reattachment.

You understand that is the instructions for the Repack? I suggest you get the Repack if you don't already have it and install the Repack version.shiloh51933 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2022, 11:51 Thank you. I read the link/thread, I will give it shot... I spent hours trying to load VIDA using instructions from another members write up but I wasn't able to load onto my Windows 10 laptop.

No I didn't understand there was a repack version...I was referring to the VIDA/DICE I had previously purchased and was never able to download to my windows 10 laptop. As far I knew I needed a download file on a disc to download the program and the VIDA disc didn't have a file to download. Could you possibly recommend a seller to buy the repack version of VIDA from?RickHaleParker wrote: ↑11 Feb 2022, 12:51You understand that is the instructions for the Repack? Fixing this hose seems to have resolved the running lean condition on banks 1 and 2.

Are you saying you found a crack or a broken hose on the back passenger side of the engine?
I to have this condition P174 code engine is running perfectly though but I’m using a ton of fuel
I can’t get over how well the engine runs idle smooth at 700 RPM just like always starts up nice
I’m worried I’m gonna burn up my cats. In 92 miles I use 9 1/2 gallons of gasoline

Please elaborate on what you found on the passenger rear side of the vehicle it seemed to me you said there was a hose so please go into detail as to what you found with the hose whether it’s cracked or broken or whatever I have the same P174 code However the engine runs beautifully I have no drivability issues it idles perfectly smooth 700 RPMs it does exactly what it’s always done runs great however in 92 miles I use 9 1/2 gallons of gasoline so it this point I’m very worried I’m gonna burn up my cats

I’ve got the exact same car, same engine same year, I have no CEL
I also have no lift and extremely bad arthritis so getting under the car is crazy hard for me
On my scanner the command EVAP reads. 0.0%. Engine running warm or cold or engine cold and not running key on
I just don’t understand why I would have no check engine light with this condition the engine runs perfectly smooth in fact it runs excellent drives nice but it’s using a ton of fuel now obviously someone else I get under there and take a look which is what I’m gonna have to do but I just don’t get why my light wouldn’t come on with that condition

Your not going to get a CEL from an emissions hose. Your ECM will try to compensate for tg be issue and in turn you'll see eradic conditions with fuel trim and such. You dont need a lift, the hoses I show in my pics are up on top of the engine near firewall.Paul1963 wrote: ↑11 Mar 2022, 16:00 I’ve got the exact same car, same engine same year, I have no CEL

Hello all, sorry for awakening this aging thread...
I have the same symptoms as shiloh51933 with the codes and the hesitation under 2000 rpm.
I wanted to ask is after you fixed the broke hose, did both the hesitation and codes go away?
I'm in the process of troubleshooting this.
Regards,
Steindi
