CPO: Who Is Your Extended Warranty Through/Your Experience

Hello everyone,

I just joined this forum after purchasing a 2021 S60 Momentum for my wife. It came with the Certified by Volvo 5 year, unlimited miles warranty. I read the brochure that it can be extended up to 10 years. I opted to purchase the additional coverage, but was only offered up to 8 years/125K miles which is a 3rd party warranty through Superior (which appears to be through Dealers Alliance Corp).

I contacted Volvo about this, and they told me all their extended warranties are through 3rd parties offered through the dealership. I did not have warm and fuzzies after reading the reviews on Superior.

If you don't mind, can you share who your extended warranty coverage is through and what your experience with them has been.

As an aside, I owned a 2000 or 2001 S80 T5 back in the day, which turned out to be an absolute nightmare. I told myself I would never buy another Volvo but my wife fell in love with the new S60 so - what am I gonna do... Reviews look good for the 2021 but I'm just leery over my last experience and want to make sure I have good warranty coverage.
