I DO wish the new parts looked new. Visually, the only difference between them and the old stuff is the new bolts and mounts aren't covered in rust and gunk.

Hey, cleaned is good enough for me! It's like resealing an oil pan and having it all nice and clean upon installation. Still looks new compared to everything else on the engine!

Got some more work done today.

Added the throwout bearing and mount brackets to the transaxle.

Drilled and tapped a hole for the bolt to secure the fuel line to the accessory bracket:

Reinstalled the steering rack boots, rack heat shield, outer tie rods and front struts:

Now that I think about it, I'm gonna need bigger zip ties on the inboard sides of the steering rack boots.

A few weeks ago, though, when rallyracing in Tunisia, we found a butcher who had camel meat for sale.
