2003 S60 2.4T FWD engine oil leak

This is strange. From the pictures you've posted it looks like the leak is coming from the passenger side, on exhaust side, while there are no oil channels in that corner.

B5254T2 (2.5T), but should be very similar to 2.4T:

Round holes are head bolts holes, they are not through holes and don't get any oil.

The bottom half of the engine has an intermediate section, sandwiched in between oil sump and the block. It has oil channel for the crankshaft journal lubrication.

Oil pressure is very high down there, since that corner sits the closest to the oil pump. The cylinder block and the intermediate sections are glued together using anaerobic sealant, which eventually gives up and causes leaks. Also the threads in holes for the bolts can slacken up, too. They are designed not as good as the threaded holes for the cylinder head bolts, which never give any slack (unless someone attempted a repair and under-torqued the bolts or reused the old bolts) and are very susceptible to engine overheating.

Could you and your mechanic trace the leak and check if the oil actually comes from the seam between the cylinder block and intermediate section?
