Well I remembered why I hate this stupid V70R so much!!

Removed the rear LH door panel to get the door actuator out. Every gosh darned (I'm being polite for a Scotsman!!) door clip mount has fallen off the door panel!! No not one, not two but all fersshluggener 6 off of them, as well as the center section has also come apart from the surround. I have had to repair the stupid panels on several P80's due to Volvo stupidity using bio-degradable glue.

Man I hate this car! Maybe one day I will get a straight forward repair that does not require repairing the rest of the car around it!

P80 door panels suck. They have conditioned me to be nervous removing any door panel on any vehicle. I forget that my BMW door panels are so much stronger than the Volvo ones

Yup I agree. I used to have patience working on cars, in fact I considered it therapy from a stressful day. This car however managed to remove the 'fun' part of that. I don't mind working on other's cars, only that one!!

I do however now expect the other rear door to be the same as I don't believe I repaired that one. A 'professional' repaired the LH front door and mad a a mess of it by using a small clamp which has left an 'impression' on it. It is also a poorly attached center section with gaps in it. I did the RH front one at it is way better. In between I did all 4 of the panels on my 2000 V70 base. Overall it is tiresome fixing stuff you shouldn't be having to. The hard part will be all 7 of the mounts have fallen off so I will have to find a way to get them all in the correct spots or the panel will not re-fit. May have to do one at a time starting at one corner, then the opposite side and then hope if they align then the rest will too.

Looks like a multi-day project for a 2 hour job!
