Another alarm issue thread

I have verified with my panic button that my alarm siren does still work. Also looked at the original window sticker and it did indeed come with the factory alarm.

However no hood latch microswitch :o

here is a picture of my left side hood latch. after more digging and looking into VIDA my hood latch should have a micro switch. which means wires. however, my hood latch does NOT have any wires. and in fact, in this pic you can see where it is supposed to plug into the wiring harness. there is even a blank plug filling the hole.

so either my car didn't come with the hood latch sensor or it was changed out at some point. all other signs point to my car having an alarm. LED on the dash, panic button on the remotes, siren on the firewall.

so my open sensor must be something else that is preventing the alarm from arming.
