Rough idle
My 01 V70 2.4t has a very rough idle when starting. After 2min the idle smooths out. I’ve changed out the MAF with a test unit still no change. No check engine light but did pull a code 6806. I unplugged the power to the TC Valve and no change. Got me scratching my skull.

Only time I had a rough idle was during my vacuum leak and bad throttle body conundrum. By rough idle do you mean a hunting idle, high idle, or low idle?

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

Very typical of rotted vacuum hoses under the intake manifold where you can’t see them.

My son bought a 04 V70r and got side tracked from the 01 V70
Ok sprayed half a can of brake cleaner over the vacuum lines,Turbo connections and injectors. No difference. Unplugged the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Things calmed down a bit idle smoothed out. Plugged the sensor back in idle was still smooth. The fan kicked on witch I found odd. The temp gauge was in the middle I found that odd. Used my surface temp gun at the thermostat read 150° the lower hose read 120°. Hmmm that’s not right with the fan running
