Is your V70R a 2000?

Are you only at 65K miles after 20 years?

If not what has your cost been like after 65K?

3K miles per year is really low.

If you are still at 65K we need some pictures of your Volvo it must look brand new

Thanks

Paul

I'm sorry, this was for our '13 XC60. My V70R has 215K miles - that one's been getting lots of attention from my wallet;-)

That makes more sense

The XC60 shouldn't be expensive to maintain or repair during the warranty period.

Your experience is more typical

Take care

2 years later update:

The 2013 xc60 is around 133k miles. Had to replace both front axles and some other part for around 3k at the dealer. The AC is also messed up because it only blows cold when the car is moving. Fun fun. I need a better job

Be careful

A broken Radiator Fan will cause the AC to work that way

If the Fan isn't fixed it is possible to break the head gasket from overheating in traffic

Thanks

Thanks for the info, Paul. I’d surmise a good way to see if it’s the fan is to just look at it and see if it’s spinning?

Yup

With the engine cold at idle and the AC turned off the fan should be off.

Turn on the AC and the fan should turn on too.

Good luck

Paul

The Radiator Fan is a Typical Repair item

Take a look at this link on the Land Rover board

https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic32504.html

I replaced the Fan on both of my P3s (2010 S80 3.2 and 2008 LR2 3.2)
