changing ignition ( key and baril ignition)

hi, volvo guys,. since my phobe is broken key still work changing the whole baril with the key ,everything lights up move 1,2,3, but clutch and wont start what am i not doing right ,.please and thx for your tips.

If you get a new key it has to be registered to the Car with software connected to a Volvo Server. Its a really secure system,but it is painful in logistics and price.
