V70 1999-Line on front of engine leaking gas

Hi Y'all

Love the site and have found answers that have saved me dollars.
I have found a fuel leak at the front end of my engine. There is a little 90 degree metal fitting directly behind my oil dipstick. Where the hard line goes in from the left hand side, fuel is leaking out. Can some one please advise on how to stop the leak temporarily, as well as repair permanently? Awe and thanks in advance!

There are o rings in the bell like piece of this pipe that seal on the hard fuel line. These are hard to replace. I would source this part at a junkyard

Thanks Abscate! Is this a basic diy or is it more involved. Just wondering if that entire fuel rail needs to come out? Cheers!

I think you can get that off with the fuel rail in place. You do need a tool or fab something to release the springs which hold the line in th e o-ring

You need a fuel line release tool like these:

Should also be available at any auto supply store.

There is a 2000 S70 AWD at the 52nd St Pick and Pull. Most of the stuff on the engine was still in place last Thursday when I was there.

A lot of work to get a pump of unknown age and condition. In theory there are 3 cars that have pumps but how do you know if any are good?

I'm sure it is against the rules, but I guess if you had one of those small pocket booster packs it may be powerful enough to connect directly to the pump and see if it runs first. Have to look at how to do that and I don't have a pocket booster pack.

I still have my original pump in a box in the garage that I know ran when it was removed.
