Hy Buddies,

When i brake (which arrive to me never), i hear the brake front disk to mover. After a quick look, i saw that.

I have no idea of what "size" i should order a drill and a dowel extractor. Drill ∅ 5 or ∅6 ? And for the dowel extractor ?

Any special tool well known for its solidity ?

manovlov,
It looks to me that the headless bolt is the small screw that holds the brake disc on to the hub. It's only purpose seems to be to hold the disc in position until the lug bolts are tight. Many of these screws have been sheared and never replaced. The securely torqued lug bolts keep the disc tight and prevent any movement while braking.
If you still think you have disc movement while braking, check that your lug bolts are properly torqued.
Also, go for a brisk drive and use the brakes to polish the rust from the discs.

If you really want to use the bolt, if I recall correctly there is a 2nd hole opposite that one. Also, when you remove the disc from the hub, often the bolt is long enough if you use locking pliers you can turn the remaining bolt out from the rear of the bearing assembly.

It is a 10mm headed bolt with I think an M6 thread.

They call it a guide pin or brake disc centering screw. It is what keeps us from putting on our 850 wheels unless we find the cast hole in the back of the wheel with the void space. Some folks throw the pin away and just put in a regular bolt, as Neil suggests.

foggydogg,
you may be right, but each time i brake, i can hear a little small shock noise. I will disassemble each brake system on each wheel to find the issue. Anyway, my dea is to install a bolt to replace the broken pin.

Thanks for your post.

A bolt head may interfere with the wheel laying flat on the rotor, depending on which wheel you have installed.
