A thread exists going back a couple of years*, but can anyone please shed light on whether it is possible to use the engine-side casing section to mount a T6 or D5 TF80-SC transmission to the V8?
My box has physical damage to the nearside of the casing and some of the casing has fallen into the box and been shredded, so I have little hope for the box altogether (yet to crack it open). Getting hold of one is a nightmare however.

I also note the excellent TF80SC rebuild video here, where the engine mount casing shell is seen being fitted at 57:57

All TF-80SC transmissions used in all the XC90s and pretty much every TF-80SC are the same gear ratios AFAIK.

Bolt pattern and then the TCM are pretty much the only difference, although one rebuilder I spoke to suggested there might be some shimming of internals to deal with, although that would be a fairly regular part of the rebuild anyway.
