Best way to get wiring from front to trunk Topic is solved

So I need to run some wiring to / from the trunk, and was wondering if any of you had do this for, say, speakers ( no I'm not doing that ).
I ran a single wire from the engine bay back to the trunk through the center console some time ago, but it was a bit tight keeping it clear of the shifter linkage. And that was only one wire. So I'm thinking of maybe under the interior sill trim, if that's doable. I've never pulled any of that trim out, and I'd hate to break something. And I think behind the headliner is out of the question

Along the sill would probably be fine. That plastic seems to be a little more resilient than some of the other stuff, too.

On my wagon I ran a beefy wire for trailer lights from the battery to the way back trunk. A connector and fuse at the battery terminal, then down the firewall and along the bottom until a grommet in the trunk. I zip-tied it every so many inches to other lines or pipes so it can’t move or shake.

I was thinking about that option. Maybe put the wires in some of that plastic loom for added protection. If there are enough tie off points....

I like the idea of the wires being inside. As long as they're not visible.

It would all be under the carpet or behind plastic, so very little chance of seeing it.

Well it looks like running them inside the cabin will be a pain. The carpet comes up apx 6" from the sill and tucks behind the B pillar trim. And I think I'd need to remove the driver seat as well in order to fish anything under the carpet. So I'm going to look into under carriage routing.
Worst case is I have to run the wire loom tucked up along the fuel lines on the other side of the car.

It's been a few years since I looked, but IIRC the front seat has two carpets and the rear seat has one carpet. With the console out, it should be only a short distance to fish from under the rear carpet to under the rear seat.

I did not do this on the Volvo, but I did fish a wire from front to rear on a BMW and I did not need to remove the seats, just the console.

You can run wires down in the rocker panels without pulling too much carpet

I've tucked mine inside the plastic conduit on the driver (left hand) side. Had to lift the carpet and take a few trim pieces off, but wasn't too bad
