Height sensor rod ball joint popped out

Hey guys, took the front right wheel off my 2011 XC60 to check the wheel speed sensor and saw that the arm of the height sensor unit has come off (pretty sure this was done by a mechanic who replaced the CV shaft and didn't bother putting it back).
My question is how do i pop this ball joint back into its place? Brute force hasn't helped so far. Has anyone done this before?

Bit of an update, basically lot of grease and small vise helped to pop that ball joint back into its socket.
