2004 S60 DRL bulb Replacement
2004 S60 DRL bulb Replacement
Does anyone know how to replace a front DRL bulb on a 2004 S60? I removed the cover but can't seem to remove the bulb. The owners manual isn't much help. What type of bulb does it require?

Welcome to MVS. The type of bulb is on the back of your owner's manual. Depending on whether you have Bixenon lights or regular it will be different on your car. The clasp that holds the bulb in threw me for a loop too on our V70...belive they're the same. You squeeze the wire clasp until you can get it off of the little hook that holds it in place. Once again, look closely at your owner's manual. After I got finished I realized how accurate the manual is for changing the bulbs.

I moved the wire and now the lights work properly.
But, while I was searching for the proper way to replace the bulb, I came across another solution:
Turn the headlamp switch to the center position.
Turn the ignition key to position II
Pull the high beam lever back and hold it while turning the headlamp switch back to the off position.
The DRL's are turned off. The headlights, though, are on all the time.
Do it again, and the DRL's are back on.

This is a great find! Some people pay the dealer bookoo's of $$ to have this done. Thanks for this information! Once confirmed by a few S60 owner's I'll pin this in the repair database.
