850 Clutch question Topic is solved

Hy buddies,
Can someone tell me what this part is used to ? When i have a look on pictures of M56 gearbox, i don't see where the 3 bolts should be bolted ? Does it goes behind the fork, between the fork and the bell clutch ?

It looks like a version of the release bearing that is a fork type rather than the piston type that is more common on our cars.

I happen to have an M56 apart in the workshop that doesn’t have this “ snout”

In September last year i gave my car to get the clutch replaced. Since a couple of weeks, it starts to make the sound of a bowl...

I ask myself if it couldn't come from this part.
