I hate those clamps they can be a devil to undo without the correct pliers which I don't own. Also seen them on some fuel hoses.

True, I think that's the only place on the car!

I just had a fight with some on my Honda. Replaced a heater hose, and they would not fit over the new hose, they were so ridiculously strong. They were a bear to remove too, one was tucked into the worst possible location under the distributor.

My 850's mudflaps could stand to be replaced. The fronts looks abraded by something. I didn't know they're held on with pop-rivets, but I suppose that makes sense since the fender well liners are held on that way on the S70.

They actually hold the bottom edge of the whole mess together, so they're kind of structural, sort of.

The drains use a bit different style that what's used on coolant hoses. I had difficulty with the ones on my S70 when I did my cabin filter. They're more like the small ones used on lawnmower fuel lines, in that they have three tabs that must be pinched. My pliers kept slipping off. The heavier CTB clamps have the two outside tabs connected together, making one tab, and they don't spread.

I think the clamps on my S70 may be glued to the drain hoses, and they didn't slide down after being released like they did on my 850. I'm surprised the glue is still holding after so long though. The glue is for assembly by the automaker and/or mechanic if a factory replacement.

I have never found those clamps glued to the drain outlets on any P80 I have worked on. They can get 'bonded' to the plastic if not disturbed for a long time. Try spraying with silicon lube and rotate as you release the tension.

I always find the one on the driver's side slides down behind the brake booster and is a devil to get back up the pipe.

So I got my fuel pump assembly delivered today for the xc90 but the top of my fuel pump looks way different than what I received. Here is what mine looks like.

I went to a junkyard to carefully extract a rear quarter panel window to fix the one I blew out in my 2000 V70 . While working, I heard a loud clang and crumbling glass. A worker was throwing scrap parts into the blown out quarter panel window of ... a different 2000 V70.

Turns out, that sad V70 had a good TYC headlight. I told the guy I'd buy both headlights and both turn signals. When I go back tomorrow to finish the window extraction, I hope to get those lights and more parts for cheap from these two V70s before they go to scrap. And the one I was pulling from is green like mine.

Firefox, if there is a key on that 426 silver I would like the driver door handle. If there isn’t a key I’ll take it if you can get the VIN so I can get a key made.

Roof rack is a nice one if you have time to harvest , too

Big write up on the XC90 by shockwAve in that forum. He had a kinked fuel line which almost bricked the car due to unreliable stalling.
