It does look like they're getting ready to crush that one for weight; kind of a shame, looks like it was pretty straight before demolition started.
If the engine is still in it, check the date code/label on the throttle module

The engine and rack were already removed, thankfully. The power steering fluid tank looked dry but who knows how long it had been sitting empty. The steering rack universal joint was cut in half or else I would have taken it. I got one nice aftermarket headlight and turn signal (and a worn OEM light and signal). I overpaid because I was so focused on removing parts that I forgot to prepare for the price haggling.

Do you recommend pulling ETMs when possible? What does the date code and label tell you?

What the Doctor said; academic since the motor was absent.
ABS modules for the same reason, but you have to be armed with the tiny torx.

If the PS tank looked like it wasn't expanded they can be a good shelf item. Splitting along the seam looks like the failure mode.
Why they balloon is best left to the YouTube 'experts'.

Got the head apart to replace the valve seals and do the NA cam install on my '97 T5.

Got to test out my prototype valve spring compressor tool (finally)


3D printed it and installed some thermoset threaded inserts. So far so good. A couple tweaks needed, but it should get me through this job.

Much easier to deal with those keepers when you have 2 hands available.

I changed out the fuel pump on the xc90. The 3d printer lock ring tool worked magnificently. It needs some minor adjustments but it worked. This did not fix the problem. A good used ebay pump control module did not fix the problem. On a whim a checked the timing belt. I wish I had did that first. I didn't want it to be true. So good news is I found the problem.......
