Center Console Creaking Reduced

My '05 S60 center console creaks a lot. I removed it this weekend to fix the issue with the shiftier not stay in drive, i.e. falling into manual mode. I tighten all the torx screws inside the center console, there are about 12, about 1/4 to 3/4 of a turn. This is old plastic so don't go crazy. After reinstalling it, a lot of the creaks went away. I think over time the screws get a little loose, enough to allow the plastic to slightly side against each other causing the creaks. This isn't a miracle cure for all creaking of the center console, but a lot of the road vibration creaks went away.
