Took off my door panel to discover that my window regulator motor was broken in half. Replacing it went pretty good, considering that it was my first time. Wouldn't want to do it again, though.

Hi,

Any photos or videos?
That helps other people learn how to do it too.
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

Not sure what car you were working on? Do you have an 850 or V/S70 up to 2000 year? Your details say you have a 1990 740.

I am also curious as I have never heard of this issue on a P80 Volvo.

Placed an order for some used hella 7 in offroad lights. 4 at 25 a pop with 4 covers. Clear lenses so i am curious to see the beam pattern.

The plan is to mount 2 of them on the egg crate grill to give me a bit more distance on the highway. If the glare is too high then i will mount them at foglight level similar to how semi trucks run around up here. For the next two years a good amount of my highway driving will be through unlit areas so i want the peace of mind.

Depending on the brightness i am debating putting in LED or HID's in them. I might tape off half the lense to stop upward reflection, or just angle the lense down.

Stock headlights are great on these cars if the reflectors are in good shape.

TYC make decent replacements for about $120 if needed.

I already retrofitted projectors in my car which helped a lot. Issue with my area is the wet makes the lines next to invisible. You need bright lights contacting the surface to see what lane you are in. I got like 4 sets of headlights so maybe it would be worth a try.

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos as I just wanted to get the job done as soon as possible. I followed instructions from this website: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticl ... cement.htm

Had this issue with a 98 manual climate control system. Solved it by resoldering the pin connectors which restored defrost, AC activation, and other controls.
This one is ECC. Its changed output on me only once, since I bought it. I can't pull codes on it either since it's a 99 as 850obd2 wont talk to it.
I was able to pull ECC codes in my 99 S70 AWD using 850-OBD2.
I grabbed my OBD2 Bluetooth device out of the 850, and tried it again in the 99 S70. It turns out that it won't talk to the Combi module, but it will talk to the ECC module. It says "ECC has 1 DTC: 13" and "ECC-322 air distribution damper motor position, no position change"

I'm not sure why it says one code, and then proceeds to give me what looks like 2 of them. I have no idea what DTC 13 is.

I didn't have time to try the other modules. When I tried the Combi I got a lot of buss errors.

I'm not 100% sure on this since it's been a while, but I think the 2 digit code is the light flashes from the ECC when it has stored codes or it relates to the 850 diagnostic port pre OBD2.. So code 13 would correspond to ECC-322. What issue are you having? I don't remember the code, but mine was stuck on max heat. A known good module fixed the problem, which was the only troubleshoot step listed in VIDA for that code.

I can't recall if I tried to talk to COMBI on my 99. What ELM firmware does you BT dongle run? I recall the author posting that some more advanced features require a later version than the minimum needed to talk to an 850.
