I recently bought a '98 XC70 AWD wagon...it started making rattling noises about a week ago, whenever I'm stopped at a stop light, in park or idling. I brought it to the shop today, and was informed cats for volvos '95 and up can ONLY be bought at the dealer for approx. $950 (part only). This minor rattling noise is costing me more than $1K...Is this true???
Any suggestions on used catalytics if possible...thanks!
