2006 t5 s60 blower motor not working

Post by volvomadness »

Blower motor was working fine. Then just stopped working check fuse climate control blower 30 amp not blown. Replaced anyway no result. Don't believe auto climate control cars don't have a relay.

So Guess only option is to replace blower and resistor right?
Any Thoughts Appreciated Madness

get access to the blower motor and check voltage at the connector before trying different things.
if you have voltage then it's likely the motor, if not then could be something else

More often then not it is blower or resistor as you mentioned. Usually if one fails, second is going shortly after.
There are plenty of yootube videos on this issue with decent descriptions. Watch 2-3 and you will be a pro. Behr makes a decent blower motor in case yours is toast, but be prepare it might be slightly noisy on low speed(at least it is my experience). I would also suggest to clean the drain port on the right side of the windshield. You will need to remove several torx screws around plastic cover that is in between windshield and engine bay to gain a decent access. Sometime that port is getting clogged and water starts to poor on top of blower motor.
Post some pictures if you will have a minute and keep us posted what you will find.
Good luck

Really Appreciate your insights.

Went out early and the motor was working. It doesn't blow strong really never did. I see a kis from TRQ never heard of them but the price is attractive around $75. If anyone has experience luv to here. Madness
