2010 xc70 t6
2010 xc70 t6
I recently purchased a 2 owner/low mi (67k) 2010 xc70 t6 & had to replace the battery. I need to register & plate the car but have to emission test it & of course (had this happen w/another xc70) have to do the drive cycle to get it to pass. It’s an extra car & don’t use it a lot but has logged over 500 miles since new battery. Travel has been mostly neighborhood but realize I need to drive it longer & further. Any hints or suggestions out there? Thx you

It is not clear from your post.
Do you have and ODBII code reader that can check the drive cycle status?
If you don't then my recommendation is get one first and then you can post here which monitor is not ready.
I had to use the drive cycle shown in this thread to get my Audi to reset all of the monitors. You can try it if you like.

The difficult part is slowing from 55 mph to 20 mph without Braking and the end where you slow down from 60 to Zero without Braking.
Good luck
Paul

The Chart shows what is needed
- The Engine is cold
- Turn it on and run at idle with defroster and AC on for 2.5 minutes
- Accelerate using 1/2 throttle to 55 mph
- maintain 55 mph for 3 minutes
- Slow to 20 mph (do not brake!!!)
- accelerate to 60 mph using 3/4 throttle
- maintain 60 mph for 5 minutes
- Slow to 0 mph (do not brake!!!)
- turn off the engine
The brakes are not used any any point in the cycle
I drove my Audi for over a year and my monitors would not show ready until I did the cycle exactly as I wrote above
It never happened by accident in over a year.
Good luck
