2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps

I'll take the advice and replace lower control arms along with the ball joints. I have studied the Garthok, it has weaknesses. I will successfully gnarfle the Garthok.

Is it just me, or is the tie rod end not fully seated also? I just put one on, and I thought it seated more tightly than this one appears to?

Check out the old ball joint stud. No hex or torx. Couldn't tighten it or loosen it. One of the bolts did break off. Steering knuckle is at the machine shop getting that dealt with. On the bright side, pretty easy to r&r the control arm with the knuckle out of the way.

Right side is back together. Test drove and the issue seems to have been resolved. I didn't notice any sudden pull going over the bumps.
Pushing down the lower control arm was a bear. Ended up using the strut link mount as a pry point to push down the steering knuckle and put in the lower strut bolt. C-clamp brought the upper bolt hole in line.
Side note, when taking it apart, the axle bolt was loose. (CV shaft)

strongly suggest installing a new axle bolt to spec, mine departed after reusing it.

Pry bar with a short length of chain over the control arm is an easy way to pull it down. Loosen the control arm bolts to allow more freedom of movement.

A new axle bolt was provided with the new ball joint. The video and suggestion of the chain is one of those, "why didn't I think of that" moments.

Yea getting those new control arms to cooperate is fun, prybar required. Shows how good the new rubber is vs the old stuff.

New suspension parts can really bring these old cars back to life.

Update, after replacing the front control arms, ball joints, LH cv axle, LH hub and having it aligned, it rolls smoothly down the road. I would have replaced the RH hub had I thought about it earlier. P/S leak is fixed. Added the skid shield which was missing when I bought the car. I didn't want to put that on but thought it better than risking road debris holing my oil pan.
