P80 1999 2000 camseals

Post by abscate »

Documenting part numbers and qtys here

Unlike -1998, where each cam has two front engine seals and two rear seals

1999 NA
Standard intake and exhaust front seals
Rear intake cam seal
No rear exhaust cam seal - just the plug

1999 turbo
Same except exhaust front seal changes to VVT style

2000 NA has intake VVT so rear cam seal on intake. Plug on exhaust

2000 turbo goes back to exhaust VVT

I just ordered four cam seals for a 2000 V70 NA FWD with VVT on the intake only. These were the part numbers from usparts.volvocars.com and the current prices:
Front intake cam seal - 9458309 - $23 list, $20 FCP, $7 Corteco at FCP
Front exhaust cam seal - 9440651 - $23 list, $20 FCP, $5 Corteco at FCP
Rear cam seals x2 - 9443310 - $18 list, $15 FCP. Corteco and Elring look much different than Volvo.

You might find no seal on your 2000 NA , the cam sensor will be in the intake side, the exhaust side probably just has the plug.

Let us know!
