============= above is exact text on back of Generator (alternator) ==========
The local Volvo Dealership Parts guy informed me that this label entitles me to exchange the part, as it has a two year warranty, if I can produce an invoice or receipt for it's purchase by the shop that installed this part. The paperwork I have (so far) does NOT include the required invoice/receipt, so naturally I am actively trying to find out who bought/installed the part. The one shop it has been to has no record of installing that alternator (with the label test above). Obviously, I do not want to buy another alternator, if I can use a warranty exchange.
As the family shade-tree mechanic, I'm working on one of my 5 drivers Volvos. 2013 S60 T5 - recently throwing Charging Failure Service Urgent message. Battery tests good (manufactured date is 7/21). Battery voltage is 14.4 V idle with no load, but drops to 11.8 V when fully loaded at idle, increasing RPM to 2k brings voltage up to 13 V. Tentative conclusion is trouble with voltage regulator or maybe Alternator low RPM Diodes. Connections and wiring appear sound.
Here's the mystery: I bought this car in 2021, and the only shop that touched this car since then was a collision shop in March of 2022.
If that label has a date on it, isn't that a manufacturing date of winter of 2022? Are the Volvo Parts Counter guy and myself both misinterpreting this label? Is there some way to track down the buyer of a genuine (blue box) Volvo Part with this label or other data from the part itself?
Thanks in advance for your experience and wisdom on these "Blue Box" parts,
Charles.

I just ralized this EU based parts factory likely uses YY-MM-DD format,so that's the original alternator from 2012 (just 54k miles later), and I wasted lots of time on an imaginary invoice/receipt and a post.
Sorry Guys.
