I had a seep at my left rear brake line, which isn’t good. It turns out the old one ( original) was pinholing at the junction of the hardline and the flare nut at the caliper

FCP had a nice new replacement style with a swage at the caliper instead of the line/flare. You have to tighten at the caliper first, of course, with this design

The AWDhas a bulkhead flare connection on the jack point connector , unlike the FWD cousin with a hard to read Union on top of the rear suspension arm. That’s payback for the rear axle drop needed for other service .

30 seconds of propane heat yielded the Union nut from the piece of the soft pipe, after I cut it off with a Dewalt brake pipe remover

Part from FCP of course

1 minute to bleed air at the caliper, put tire back on, and all set.

Just did this on mine too, though not because of a leak. Turns out if you lower an AWD enough the rear brake lines are too short and rub the inside of the wheel. Sketchy! Replaced with front hoses for 280mm brakes and it’s back to rub free

Yes you have to be careful if you upsize the rim diameter and run P2 offset rims. I had to bend the mount for these slightly on one side to make sure there was a little more room should the tire flex on hard turns!

Yeah, P2 wheels combined with lowered suspension = sketchy. I’m running 17” Neptunes (early P2 XC90 wheel) and lowered, it would rub over bumps and hard turns with the factory lines. A little more length fixes that issue
