This is before we roofed it. See water damage on the fascia board (which is mahogany BTW, crazy!) Mitered at the corners.
Sunrise on the Solstice, coming in the north windows. I love this.

Our house still has 1970's 1x6 sheathing boards. Many have had repairs patched in from knots and hail holes. I think the next roof may get full tear off and OSB sheets. I have heard LP has a new sheathing panel with UV reflection sheet to keep attic cooler. This sounds like a good idea but it is very new.
If I get solar panels on the roof, I will need to decide if a new roof goes on first. Current roof is about 5 years old.

Yeah. just go over that with plywood. That UV board sounds good - is it an actual structural sheathing?
Solar panels will add some real loads to consider, so a beefier sheathing is good to spread it out.

Here is a link on the Radiant Barrier panels.

Although the solar panels are to be screwed directly into the rafters, you make a good point that the OSB panels would be better than the current board sheathing for spreading the weight from rafter to rafter.

We usually leave the existing 1 x sheathing and go over it with 1/2" ply. Makes for a nice flat firm roof.
New houses often just have the 1/2" ply, and not only are they squishy to walk on, but you can often see the trusses telegraphing through the new roof.

I installed the last storm window this morning. No problems with glass breaking. My assembly and install process went fairly smoothly without much change of the plan. A pair of suction cups was a must have for this project. With one window, I flipped it over by gripping the frame edge and got to reinstall the vinyl gasket as it slipped out of the glass at the middle.
Total cost for 8 windows and two suction cups about $1300.

The home HVAC system is being refurbished incrementaly in a DIY set up; it is LENNOX installation from 1992. All enclosures are still free of spots and rusts.
The components of air handler and furnace were upgraded during CoVID days. This weekend, I serviced the outdoor condenser unit while leaving the compressor alone for next season. You get used to aging stuff; the replacement fan motor, capacitor, fuses, fan; freshen up wires; clean up of fins, and finally paint touch up makes the whole gray thing humming quietly.
You don't even notice condenser going on or off any more, or is it my hearing. The quiet and cool air therapy breeds positivity; you learn how well smart controls work.

Pet gripe..I am amazed at how loud ac compressors are on startup. Can’t they engineer that loud low drone for the first few seconds of compressor run?
We are open windows people, we haven’t run our AC since early July, while the neighbors seem to think you have to acyour house from75 outside to 70 inside
