Dropping 850 manual trans in '98 V70. What CV shafts do I need?

Hi,

I am converting a 1998 V70 (base) to fell electric, using a forklift motor.

I am mating the motor to a manual transaxle from an 850. The V70 has an automatic, which will be pulled out with the IC engine.

Question: what CV shafts will work in this application? Re-use the ones that are there? get some from a manual 850? Other?

I think I have my answer, I went to Rockauto and looked up CV axle shaft kits for my 1998 V70 and also for a 96 850 with an M56 manual transmission (the one I'm dropping into the electric car)... I found parts with the same make/part number for both cars. In other words, it looks like they use the same shafts.

Since the ones in the V70 are pretty much shot, new parts are now ordered... gotta take some risks when you're doing stuff like this, or you never get anything done.

There is a tabulation of part numbers of axles in this forum by year and transmission. Worth a search
