Cleaned the input and output speed sensors of my AW55, there was metallic silver gunk on it, though not a whole lot. I did this because I was perusing drive2 site and some said their problems went away after cleaning them, buuut. Not for me but worth a try hehe.

Drained another 1.25l of fluid and replaced, this was done mostly to see what the condition of the fluid is. Not great, not terrible. Fluid is not clear, but no signs of water/coolant.

This is the only Max Jax on Home Depot. Excellent design and portable. Little scary though being portable but I'm sure they've done their geometry homework so it doesn't fold inward. I suppose as long as the concrete is not compromised it's safe. Let us know how you like it and whether it can be installed to fit a variety of differing size vehicles.

I had cleaned and did a quick machine polish on my Son's car after replacing the Master Cylinder. It is old and was very abused when we got it. Supposed to get him through college. It's a real mess all around with clear coat on the hood and roof basically white with rust spots. After the cleaning he said he was kind of scared to drive it. I feel the same way with your car. Would be scared to drive it since it's so pristine. Haven't clean anything to that level since the 80's. Superb focus and patience besides being organized!
Blessings,

BKM

We just installed a new concrete floor this summer , 6 inches deep, 40K psi , reinforced with rebar.
bendpak calls for 4 inch depth at 30k psi without rebar so I'm way over their safety requirement.

they only call it portable because of the wheels on the columns , it still gets bolted to steel expansion anchors in the concrete.
I don't plan on moving the lift once its torqued down.
I'm waiting in the driveway with my rotary hammer drill...

@ MoVolvos Thanks for your kind words, I do sometimes question my own sanity, I keep telling myself I'm not going to give my next car so much care & attention but I always end up going above and beyond what I really should. At the end of the day it's an 18 year old Volvo and although very good it's not museum quality so when needs must it does get pressed into use in inclement weather or situations that I wouldn't use my 850 for. I've protected the underside with Lanoguard in the hope it will prevent corrosion during the winter months, the paintwork has been waxed so should be good to go when the weather deteriorates. Your son sounds like he cares about his car, that's a good sign and something that will stay with him throughout his life.

I was looking at the pictures, and if you look closely they are bolted down with the car up on them as per jonesg note above. Initially I was struggling to figure how these worked. I looked at these before buying a used hoist with the full height and emergency stop top cross bar.

I guess it is portable in the sense you can unbolt is and then wheel it out of the way. I would leave the bolts in the holes after removal to keep the holes clean.

Fixed Xenon Ballast for coworker (pic before fix).
