The new steel garage walk-in door was put in place today. I say in place instead of installed, because the installation is not completed. More wedges and screws are needed to secure and all the trim must be added. Since I have been working to remove the old door and made some related repairs, I have had the old trim removed and tacked back in place many times. I want to keep vermin from crawling inside.
I also need to finish painting the door and install new locks.

One must love autumn rains - God refreshes the souls of His people with His Holy Spirit.

Autumn colors are here. An umbrella or rain jacket and water proof boots is ample to continue with outdoor activity. Wetness can be magical; best time for a lawn treatment. A gallon of mixture was enough to spot and spray over Creeping Charlie; result in two weeks.

The thing is good turf shows results overnight -- Plato's Love .

Does nannying two tiny grandkids for two weeks count as non-automotive projects?

Their maintenance might be messy, but they have no replaceable parts.

A number of nannying activities may violate your non-automotive section privileges, any car-talk with pre-K is one.

I'll upgrade from 40 years old TIMCO to WILLIAMS top-vented wall heater. I may replace entire B-Vent set up; gas line must be up to the code too.
Have you considered a heat pump system. They can be very efficient. No gas bills.

The heat pump system for heating and cooling our home is a attractive option if our 30+ year old LENNOX decides to quit on us. I'm taking a good care of this forced air 85,000 BTU natural gas/electric unit.

The Williams top-vented wall heater upgrade is done. It is a recessed mount; thus had to pull out the old B-Vent assembly and refit with the Amerivent components. The B-Vent inside the wall is now 4" oval to satisfy 1" to Combustible Rule. I will refinish the interior wall and match the existing T&G WP-4 style panels, aka carsiding; some basic carpentry and then stain to make it whole.

Details are killing me, or is it adhd.

Details are always 90% of efforts.

I am still working to finish details on my garage walk in door.

YOU CAN'T BLOW OUT SPRINKLERS WITH A 6-GALLON AIR COMPRESSOR! they said. Oh yea?

Being one who often can't accept common wisdom, I got a Craftsman 6-gallon "pancake" air compressor and went ahead and... did it.

It takes about 3 cycles per zone, so this would not remotely work for commercial blowout services, but for me the lower cost and small size of a 6-gal makes sense.

I had no idea what I was doing at first, but I figured it out.

I rate this job a 2-sparkplug (out of 5) difficulty.

xHeart, if you have time/inclination to take and post photos of this equipment and resulting installation, I'd love to see. I don't follow much of what you wrote, but I think it would come together if I could see photos. Just a little request, don't take the time if you can't. :)
