1998 S70 - What is this seal that just fell on my head?

Post by clarkerussell »

Hello all,

I opened my sunroof the other day and a 2 foot section of weather strip fell on my head. I almost ran off the road thinking it was a snake or something. It looks like a window wiper and it MIGHT have come from the sun shade somewhere. Does anyone know what it is and how to reattach it?

I don't know what it is, but I can feel your panic if a long, skinny, black thing falls on your head while driving!

I'm laughing, but I probably would have done the same thing!

Sorry, I don't know the answer. The sunroof is one of my favorite things about my S70, but I've never had reason to look closely at it.

How long is that rubber strip? Looks like a scraper strip of some sort. I'd suggest the length may help narrow it's location down.

I can't see where it would possibly go. Any chance you could send a pic?

When you get to my age you reread the old thread to see if it goes in the same place!
